EMILY is among the first colorists to master hair painting and balayage using toxic free organic hair color. As an Organic Color Systems educator and artist EMILY is very inspired by rich vibrant tones that mimic nature, reflecting and shining with youthful highlights.

Her experience working in Beverly Hills (which she lovingly refers to as “blonde boot camp”) taught her to be an expert blonder. Her fair-haired clients swear by her ability to create the perfect “statement blonde.”

Undone meets chic and sophisticated
EMILY is an expert in modern, fluid haircuts that are easy to style at home. For men’s styling, she lives to make the world a more handsome place and loves classically dapper cuts that grow out flawlessly. (She loves cutting men’s hair so much she freelanced at the barbershop MR. for a while, just for fun.)

A holistic way with hair
For someone ready to cut bangs, try a new color or just completely change their hair, EMILY paints and sculpts a new look tailored to their lifestyle and personal aesthetic. She has adopted a “first, do no harm” oath in her work and treats every head of hair to healthy dose of TLC. She says, “Healthy hair equals happy hair that’s easy to style and looks great without too much work.” EMILY sends each person home with a “prescription” for healthy hair that almost always includes a sulfate-free shampoo and a DIY coconut oil treatment.

EMILY is completely hair obsessed and gathers inspiration from everything from fashion editorials of the 1970s to the sun-kissed locks of our youth. A few of her hair icons include Debbie Harry, Brigitte Bardot, Edie Sedgwick, Stevie Nicks and Jane Birkin.

Nearly two decades behind the chair
EMILY has an impressive resume of experience and high-end training, including intensive hair cutting and styling courses at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica and a colorist apprenticeship at Louis Licari, Beverly Hills.

Most recently she became a certified educator for Organic Color Systems because she loves sharing her passion for a healthier future for both hairstylist and client.

In her free time
Outside of the salon, EMILY can be found playing dress up at vintage shops, trying out new restaurants in the City or running along the bay. She loves Bikram yoga, avocado toast and naps in the sun. Her most favorite activity in the world is creating, imagining and playing with her adorable son, Henry.
